  Excellent location, not far to restaurants and shops, all within walking distance. We hired a day boat, and it was easy to moor at the property's private mooring to load and unload. There were lots of extras provided, for instance, biscuits, tea, milk and condiments, which was a nice touch.

  The air conditioning was perfect, especially considering we had a long day out in the sun and needed to cool off. I also appreciated the checkout time (12 noon) rather than the usual 10-11am check out time. Gave my partner and I plenty of time to wake up, get ready, pack and leave.

  Getting to the location on foot with a small suitcase was a little inconvenient. The hotel is at least a 15minute walk from Barking Station, and at some points you have to cross uneven pavements. Additionally, it's important not to get confused with the other ibis hotel that's closer to the station (and where the front-desk staff have a poor attitude, when I mistakenly went into it thinking I was booking in at the right hotel).

  Very, very nice hotel staff from receptionist to the waiters in the breakfast room. Very clean and comfortable room. We have not tried the spa this time, but we will for sure when we return.

  Clean rooms, nice white bedding comfy bed. Nice touch with the fudge but I would rather have had some bath towels.

  The parking was very tight and in a housing estate, steep steps to hotel front and back, not disabled friendly. Asked for bath sheets on arrival, informed non available, told previous guests had dirtied them with curry/food (white towels) and unable to get them clean, but our towels where dark so why did the hotel not use dark bath sheets? The breakfast was ok but scrambled egg too wet/runny for my partner and I and sausage hard,personal preference.
