Lovely quiet location in mid Wales village. Beautiful old public house, modernised with excellent rooms and facilities. Attentive, efficient staff serving excellent array of good ales, beers. The food was exceptional and excellent value. Thoroughly enjoyed my one night, should have planned more nights! A hidden gem really. Would be great for cycling and walking. Will definitely return.

There’s nothing to dislike! It’s a real gem!

The restaurant needs to update the menu to be more descriptive. My wife ordered the Chili Chicken thinking it was coming in a bowl and instead got a Chicken Sandwich with chili on it. This happened to another couple who was there at the same time and we were both not offered the option to reorder despite the confusing menu.

The breakfast was the least favorite of all the places we stayed.

The location is great to explore London, as you can either walk or take the tube to places of interest. Close to Hyde Park, which gives the are a cosy atmosphere. The room was not too big, but enough to feel comfortable. Private bathroom and different appliances available in the room.

No lift. The deposit payment didn't work by card (with a British card), so we had to fork out 100 pounds in cash, which is a pity as one could use the money differently. The staff is nice but not easy to communicate with.

The host had provided absolutely everything to make the cottage feel like a home from home. It was superbly equipped and it felt like she really cared and wanted us to enjoy our stay.
Negative section of review
There was nothing to dislike. The only thing to be aware of is that 24/7 free parking is in a public car park a stones throw from the cottage. The on road parking next to the cottage has time limitations Mon - Sat. This worked fine for us and wasn't an issue.
Positive section of review
It has a private parking space. The kitchen was fully equipped. So, it is good to stay either with a family or a group of friends if cooking is preferred.

There was a minor hiccup for the first night that there was no space heating and hot water for shower. However, after having called the management team, a technician came and set up the timer, then it worked. Another thing is there was no user manual of the equipment such as the washing machine, dish washer and internet TV.
