Nothing, we were on a literal building site. Nothing was said to us apon check in and when requested several times got a room change we were declined as the hotel was “sold out”. We were disturbed both mornings at 8am with hammering, drilling and furniture moving about and I was still declined to room change which I found ridiculous. I wasn’t even offered a refund to find a different accommodation that wasn’t a building site.

Staff were really helpful especially in being willing to provide us with a drink in the very early hours of the morning (2-3am) One staff member went out of his way to let us in when we first arrived at the end of the hall so went above and beyond what he had to do.

There was no TV remote in the room. We booked a twin but the room was prepared as a double, so we had to split the beds and had no bedding for the second bed which was not rectified until the very last night. A microwave in the dining area would be beneficial.

Never been to a more welcoming hotel. I had my dog and it was his first trip, and they were amazing with him. There was a wedding taking place but I felt that we had just as much attention on us. Fantastic, thank you.

No aircon and the room was very hot … the door kept opening in the night .. couldn’t shut or lock the bathroom window .. service at the restaurant poor … eggs not cooked first morning .. 2 nd morning put order in then waited 40 mins and they had forgotten to order our food .. we had to leave without breakfast

I have used your website in the past for booking my stays and I have never come across a below par room like this one. I just booked this because it was close to the venue where I attended a wedding. When we went to the room it was so dark and the carpet was smelly. It did not even have a decent mirror to get ready for the function. So we did not have any choice but to go to another hotel and ended up paying for a brand new room on top of this. It was very inconvenient and when I tried to communicate with the person in charge and explained the situation to them, I asked for a partial or full refund since we only stayed there for 30mins. He was not willing to listen and was adamant that there room standards is satisfactory. I’m really surprised to see such a poor standard room be advertised in a respectable site like yours.
