Very friendly host, shown us how to access the town, perfect spot to park in driveway, room was cosy and knew it would be a good sleep when we got back, nice little additions like shower gels and soaps. Very pleasant stay will be back again if in the area. Thanks

Friendly, well presented hotel . Staff were so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Cake and balloons on our room for my 13year old son, and staff wished him a happy birthday each time he was near reception - lovely touch

The gardens were stunning! So many roses and beautiful flowers. The main hotel was lovely looking. Breakfast was good, though portions were a bit small.

Our room was not in the main hotel, but part of the ‘mews’ around the back. I wouldn’t have booked if I’d realised this. It felt out of the way and not part of the actual hotel. The room, although nicely decorated, was quite dark with only a small window looking out onto a moss covered roof. The room (311) therefore felt dark and dingy. The toilet seat wasn’t fixed properly and moved all over the place and there were black marks on the side of the bath. Little things that could be easily fixed but had not been.

Window wouldn't stay open so it was really hot. TV had no channels or aerial connected. Bed was uncomfortable. Questionable brown spray up the wall. Full sized fridge in room made so much noise I switched it off. Cupboard in room with plates etc had a used plaster in it, yuk! Noisy and thin walls so you hear everything in neighbouring rooms.

Charging for a hotel carpark is a bit cheeky, especially as I only found out after I had booked. Air con not working in the room which made it very warm. Bed headboard has seen better days and the room had a few cobwebs.
