The location was perfect, very near the shops and only a few minutes away from the town centre. The apartment is beautiful, and very comfortable. I liked the automatic lights in the hall, handy if you return at night (except if you leave the bedroom door open at night, turning over in bed can make the light in the hall come on, which was a bit scary!) I wasn't so keen on the automatic light in the bathroom, because when one of the four spotlights started flashing madly (migraine inducing!) you couldn't switch it off, but I'm mentioning it in the 'likes' section, because when I phoned the number to tell Kent Escapes about it, there was a really quick response, and a friendly chap turned up and the light bulb was changed within about half an hour.

The kitchen could do with a couple of pyrex/glass bowls for warming food in the microwave.

Lovely individually decorated and furnished room. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, giving parking advice and restaurant recommendations. Great choice of breakfast options, including fruit, cereals and extensive hot options - all freshly and excellently cooked.

Not the fault of the accommodation, but parking locally can be difficult. There is limited on-street parking outside, but this will fill up quickly in peak times. There is a pay and display at the end of the Esplanade, so if travelling in peak season it would be advisable to budget for this.

It was a little cold, we didn't understand if it was possible to regulate the heat somehow. There was a pile of nails in the bathroom behind the door, it seems that the person who cleaned it had not noticed it.

Boiler didn't work so no heating or hot water had 4 fault codes , I'm a plumber told them the issue just for the landlord to take the mick , had 3 kids with me and he expected us to stay with no heating or hot water for 3 nights , asked to be moved rooms and he said he had no more even though I was on booking.com and could see he had plenty, ended up staying in a room with 5 beds in one with a different landlord after driving hours and could turn back
