Breakfast was amazing! We were surprised by the variety and all included. Could not have been happier. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and well appointed. We loved our 'pub' stay and wished we had another night.

I booked this hotel on behalf of my husband, his comments to me… The staff were pleasant and accommodating, the breakfast was good, the parking was reasonable at £9.00 and he was able to leave the car until 3.00pm on the day of departure.

The first room my husband was given was a good size but quite dark and rather shabby, the second room was situated at the side of the hotel, it was a little better and brighter. Unfortunately the once beautiful Imperial Hotel is in need of updating to bring it back to its former grandeur, and it’s four star rating.

Starting to look a little run down. It’s surprising there are no lifts and the floor layout rather idiosyncratic.
