Really lovely house, overlooking Offa's Dyke path, nearest neighbours perhaps 1/4 mile away. Lots of owls, sheep below and horses in field above house. Plenty of space for dogs on site. Lovely warm kitchen well equipped with cafetiere, basics for washing up, and first night essentials. Great sitting room with huge open fireplace and lots of wood provided. Huge wood fired pizza oven on main patio with a large outside table, and large wood fired hot tub on bottom patio next to a bedroom. Plenty of wood and kindling supplied, heats up in a couple of hours, and retains heat overnight. A great hit. Massive boiler and the Aga kept the house warm in cold and drizzly weather.WiFi worked well. Lots of different levels in the house, and some very steep stairs and low lintels, so not suitable for very young children/ elderly or those planning on heavy drinking. Very comfortable beds, and good sized bathrooms.

The house was perfect, but very narrow country lanes and lack of phone and internet reception (worse than Cambodia) across Monmouthshire in general can make townies feel a little apprehensive while travelling.

Room was lovely, very clean, decor lovely staff members very welcome and friendly, breakfast fantastic one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had very hot and plenty Breakfast at the weekend was available until 12 midday of which was great ,location really good, , parking outside okay and free, General decor in the pub downstairs was really lovely if anyone is wanting to stay in Glossop then this is the place to stay

The wardrobe sadly only had 2 coat hangers, could of done with a few more, Television only had a limited amount of channels to watch Music from the pub downstairs could faintly be heard until midnight, however what we did hear we enjoyed listening too Check out time was 10.00 am, however for an extra £15, you could extend that to midday (of which we did) but I do feel that check outs should be to at least 11.00 and no extra fees to pay....but overall a lovely stay

We only needed a place to stay for one night and stayed here due to its location and cost. The breakfast was good, small portions but good quality. Tea/coffee would be better if they were in a teapot/coffee pot than from a machine. Checking in staff made us feel welcome. Rooms good size but surprised how many scratches and dents were on the furniture.

The weekend we stayed must have been one of the coldest days in April for many years. The whole hotel was very cold. The lobby was freezing, the corridors and bedroom were cold. The heating in the room did not always come on and cold air kept blowing into the room, could not turn it off, Didn't want to disturb my friend who was sleeping so did not call reception so slept in our clothes, It was so cold that we wore our coats going to breakfast. It is a shame that establishments now turn off the heating as it's such a nice welcome to feel the warmth when entering a hotel reception.

Room was bright clean and tidy - Very big ! Kitchen was next door which had everything required for a reasonable length of stay including a washing machine. Selection of nibbles for breakfast (continental style) Good amount of sockets for a sleep aponea maching also (big consideration as I am a sufferer)

One small tiny gripe - Towels ! As this property has a shared bathroom and toilet - you do have to make your way to them in the morning - Larger towels please ! I'm not the biggest person but I could have scared a lady guest !!

Very clean, comfortable and pleasant. Great location in a quiet area but close to the centre and shops. It would be a pleasure to use this flat again.

Close to the terrace for the sunset, the Park for a walk in the nature and the Pub for a pint. What do you need more?!

We arrived at there was no toilet roll in our room so I went to reception to ask for some, the girl said she would get some sent up. We were in a rush so left pretty soon after asking. Once we came back around 12.30am there was still no toilet roll so I asked again at reception was told the same thing, we went to the bar for some drinks to end our night, went to our room around 2am and still no toilet roll. We were in room 242 which is the last room right at end of hotel. I had to make my way yet again to reception to ask again, this time I decided to wait for them to hand me it. For the size of the hotel you would expect toilet roll to be in your room. Once we were back in the room for the night, we noticed red stain marks on the curtains, I can only expect it to be blood which really made our evening very uncomfortable.
