Nice little touches made this stay very nice. A fridge on the landing with little bottles of fresh milk and bottled water. The owner also left homemade ginger cake out to have with your cuppa, and on the 2nd day , carrot cake - both were delicious The bedroom was lovely as was the bathroom. Homemade shortbread in the room was also a nice touch Lovely fresh bedding and towels. Breakfast was also delicious with good quality items.

My cousin who isn’t very fit struggled with the steep slope into the town, so anyone with mobility issues could find the short walk uphill to the property a problem . Otherwise it’s close to everything.

We had a lovely sea view room as my daughter had requested one for my 85th birthday they even got flowers an chocolates sorted for my husband on my actual birthday the staff were friendly and nothing too much trouble

We had stayed in November and we were so impressed with the room and meals we booked again for my birthday in April-What a disappointment! We will not be returning ! Room was actually the same room but what a difference. The bed was not comfortable-very soft no support -i do understand some people like soft mattresses but on our previous stay it had been very comfortable ;the towel rail was hanging off the wall and bathroom wallpaper was torn and hanging off in several places . The main disappointment was the evening meal-previous stay the meal had been fantastic and all my family enjoyed their chosen dishes -what a difference this visit -very disappointing -not a Gastro pub style more like a school dinner- pie was similar to a chip shop style and the chicken was completely tasteless . When checking out we raised our issues with the desk manger regarding the mattress, towel rail, wallpaper and the very disappointing evening meal; he didn’t even pretend to be interested in our issues and began talking about the new mattress he had purchased ! He showed no interest whatsoever in our disappointing evening meal for my birthday -I can’t understand how different a hotel can be in a few months and we shall not be staying here again .

Great location for our trip to the Harrogate Spring Flower show, using the 'back roads' we got to the car park avoiding the queues.

No specific instructions for the oven and coffee maker - dinosaurs don't do techi appliances! ie the oven didn't start when I pressed the on button, I had to work through to the function button first, then it was relatively easy...

Location was perfect for access to the City shops and for my exams at ARU. Flat had everything we needed and is beautifully decorated.

The stairs leading up to Flat 2 are a little shallow, so need to be really careful with your footing.
