To be honest, this hotel has lots of potential. If they did some refurbishment, it could be a much better experience. The view of the lake is really nice, which is a definite highlight. The breakfast was not too bad compared to the rest of the stay. I've had worse breakfasts at much posher hotels. It wasn't greasy at all and was cooked fresh. Nothing fancy, just a regular English breakfast, but it was decent!

My recent stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The rooms were in desperate need of some TLC—like a lot! I even found some little furry animals with far too many legs in the bathroom 🐛. The soundproofing was nonexistent, and I was kept awake by drunk and noisy guests. While the staff were not outright rude, they certainly weren't very welcoming either. The mattress was old and uncomfortable, and the shower seemed so ancient that it looked like it could fall apart at any minute. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend staying here!

Everything was perfect the hosts had thought of everything. There was even a small care package full of little treats and different breakfast cereals. We were arriving late and the host had lit the hot tub ready for our arrival. We will definitely be booking again and recommending to friends.

Great location close to the centre of bowness. The host was amazing, really welcoming and friendly with us and our dogs. The staff really cannot do enough for you and are so polite, this is the 2nd time we’ve stayed and will be back again.

Spotlessly clean. Great location and friendly landlady who made us feel at ease and gave us lots of information. Tea and coffee was provided in the room. Bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Great value for money.

It was different to the one we picked and were only told about the change at 5pm on the day of check in. The one we stayed didn’t share the wifi code in the welcome pack, the towels were smelly and there was no salt (although mentioned in the welcome pack) no toaster and no coffee maker other than instant.
