Good location, very good breakfast, staff pleasant & helpful. Very unhappy with room - see below,but Willaim on reception apologised & we were given a 25% discount. However as we had prepaid he said the discount would be in my account in 2/3 days. It has not yet appeared in my account.

Air conditioning in the room wasn't working when we returned to our room around 22.40hrs, after attending a wedding reception ( it had been a very warm day & evening,) I called reception to advise them & was told someone would come to check it. By 23.15 no one had arrived so I called reception & was told there was no maintenance staff on duty. Even opening the window ( only allowed a small amount) it was extremely uncomfortable & neither my husband or I slept. Also a double room was booked, but only one set of towels in the room. When I spoke to the chambermaid the following morning she advised the 2nd set was on the shelf in the wardrobe. I took for in to the room to show her that this was not the case. She apologised. Whoever was checking the bedrooms had certainly not done their job properly.

I liked the staff and the welcoming atmosphere. I loved the comfort of the bed. I I thought the bathroom and the shower, in particular, were excellent The pretty tin of biscuits was a nice touch The evening meal was tasty

There were buzzing noises at night in the room but thankfully, they ceased at around bedtime. There is a kitchen area in the room but no pots, pans, plates or cutlery so what's the point? The lack of WiFi until the end of my second day. Although I was happy with a basic continental breakfast, I think there should have been a cooked offering....other than just a bacon roll.

Self checkin was slow, there was a group of us and it took a long time for the first one, but luckily someone came and helped and speeded up the process
