When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Lesley welcomed us with a great smile on her beautiful farm ! The place is a little remote, as a result the night is calm and ver comfy. In the morning, you can enjoy a full scottish breakfast on the terrace and do a little walk around the property. A great experience, thank you Lesley !

Wonderfull accommodation and a beautiful location....views fabulous! We had everything we could need for our stay at The Barn whilst we attended a wedding close by. We would definitely recommend it to our family and friends. Thanks to Jen and Jas

Shower leaked from handset (probably a washer missing) which did not stay on the rail properly. Duvet not ironed. Stayed 5 nights but bed was only made once and the room vacuumed once. Curtain hook missing. Struggled to open bathroom door.

Stained duvet and bed sheet. Wife slept in a bath towel as she didn't want to make a fuss. Bed should have been changed on Wednesday and was not. Told chamber person.

I recently stayed at De Vere and it was an absolute nightmare. We found eight huge spiders in our room, and to make matters worse, we woke up to find two of them dangling over our bed. It was horrifying and completely unacceptable. We were so terrified that we had to sleep with the lights on, which was extremely uncomfortable and made it impossible to get any proper rest. When we informed the manager, Ben, he initially offered to change our room. However, his attitude was incredibly rude and dismissive. He refused to acknowledge that there was an infestation in the room and acted as if we were overreacting. This was extremely frustrating as we were simply trying to make him aware of the serious issue. The stay was so uncomfortable that we had to book into another hotel. This ordeal ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. I thought it would be fair to ask for a refund for the night we did not want to stay, but Ben refused and his words was ‘we cannot refund you due to a couple of spiders’ I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The management's lack of concern for their guests' well-being is appalling. Avoid this place at all costs.
