  Dog friendly, down to earth, and a superb menu in the restaurant. The rooms are comfortable without being pretentious or stuffy.

  The fact that the nearby quay is fenced off! We obviously hadn’t done our homework; evidently “free the quay” has been a local campaign priority for a very long time.
