The room was small but well-equipped. Breakfast was excellent. The host, Tania, went out of her way to facilitate a slightly-earlier check-in which was appreciated. There was even a well-behaved squirrel in the room, adding to the rustic ambience, although it was somewhat larger than the real thing and carried a shopping bag... whilst the name suggests a rural location, it's actually at the far end of Blandford's main street so the shopping bag made sense.

Nothing at all, and I'd be very happy to stay there again.

Breakfast was OK, nothing special. Location was very convenient (just off the M4) and the vineyard grounds are beautifully kept. The room was clean and quiet.

I rang the hotel mid afternoon to ask them what time dinner was served until. 9pm was the answer. They asked if I wanted to book a table, but I didn't know what time I would arrive, so I said that I would prefer not to, but that I would probably be with them between 6 and 7 and would like to eat when I arrived. So I suppose I can't really fault the hotel for telling me on my arrival at 6:30 that the earliest they could give me dinner would be 9, but I have to admit I was disappointed. They were busy with a lot of "walk ins" (their descriptions) at the restaurant. I would have hoped that as I had told them roughly when I was arriving, they would have kept a table for me. However I did have a great meal a few miles away at the Miskin Arms, so all was well, but I was disappointed to have not eaten at the hotel.

Modern bedrooms but the main historic character of the building remained creating a nice ambiance.

Shower over the bath. It was a large bathroom, plenty of room for bath and a separate shower.

Looks nicer than it is, would probably stay elsewhere next time. Reminds me of travelodge.

Interesting apartment, very clean. Lovely location near woods and historic Gilesgate.

Need to be aware that access is down a very steep slope, but this is common in Durham city.
