I needed a stopover, on a budget. The so called budget chains were asking £110 - 120. I took this offer at only £69, room only. The hotel seemed busy, especially popular with contractors working nearby and looking for budget accommodation. Positives: Decent parking in spacious grounds with a lot of outdoor seating (for smokers) Quiet, decent-size room with comfortable double bed Basic toiletries, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities all provided Plenty of storage Pleasant reception staff

The hotel is a bit tricky to find (even with satnav) My room (233) was windowless Plug on the washbasin didn't work I couldn't get enough hot water to take a bath or shower The hotel is generally rather down at heel, but at the price I wont complain about that

Great location, clean room & good meals available in the pub below. We stayed on a Sunday & Monday night and the pub noise was not much at all, did not bother us. Communal kitchen looked clean and well stocked with honesty box set up, we didn’t use it but would have if needed.

No kettle / tea and coffee set up in room

The rooms are lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a lovely breakfast was provided each morning. There is also parking to the rear of the property included in the price though you cannot reserve a spot ahead of your arrival.

I was aware that there are evenings were there are live music in the bar below prior to Me booking and I was absolutely fine with that. What did disturbed me was the light from the window as the curtains were insufficient and banging from guests doors on the corridor and other rooms. Also note that there is secondary glazing on this property which doesn’t drown out all the exterior noises

The welcome was lovely - really made you feel at home from the moment we arrived. Whilst we didn't eat dinner there, the menu looked great and the breakfast was a lovely light refreshing change.

Very clean and bright- all the things you needed were there for a fun /relaxing stay. Very good location and there was a garden. Fabulous bathroom.

It did get hot at night but that is hardly a problem ( May stay) parking tight but you manage as Whitstable and parking is always a problem.
