Positive section of review
The location is superb, incredibly central: you're moments from the centre of Winchester, restaurants, shops, things to do are a street away from the front door. The slight downside of the very central location is that the property doesn't have a designated parking space; we were lucky that on the advice of the booking agents, we parked across the road at the Winchester Royal Hotel.

There was some road noise in the main front bedroom, not enough to be a major problem but light sleepers might want to choose to one of the other rooms. And for those of us with dodgy knees - both staircases were quite steep, and the seating in the (amazing) cinema room, was laughably impossible to get out of.

Absolutely lovely location. The cove beach, walkways, little places to eat of different kinds. Gorgeous views. The kitchen staff were very sweet and accommodating.

I thought for the price the room could be a bit more - maybe bigger, neater, the bathroom a bit nicer, newer. Beautiful place but maybe a bit more expensive than it should be.

We had a wonderful stay at Mooredge B&B, Lucy was very accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

My partner and I got food poisoning on the second day of our visit. The only common denominator in terms of what we had eaten was the cooked breakfast at the hotel. I cannot prove it was that but it seems like a bizarre coincidence if it wasn't.

The room was stuffy with no window Having cycled 70 miles expecting as a guest to obtain an evening meal, I was told the restaurant was fully booked. The "secure location" for an expensive bike was an outside area, for which I had to sign a disclaimer: hardly a sign of confidence. The breakfast was not included in the price and was poor and parsimonious.
