We wrote a really bad review about the service mentioning that the barmaid refused to service us more than once because they have decided to shut the bar before 11:00pm. She was kinda rude and don’t give us any explanation. However the next day we were served by Rathinam and he was simply amazing. Very friendly and kind. He recognized us, and apologised from the night before.

We love the facilities and everything are well organized. The location is not that fae from Kirkwall’s center. We can reach almost everywhere by walking distance. The bus stop is even nearby with supermarkets. I’d highly recommend for a group of friends, regardless of gender. I traveled with a group of female.

Only certain outlets worked. I hope by the time they fixed it but we could manage to charge our electronic devises.

A broken blind on a low skylight type window in the bedroom. When we went to bed, we had no privacy and were exposed to bright carpark lights, which illuminated the room. When we reported it, we were told staff were aware of the issue and to cover it up with a towel. This was not very successful as bright lights from the carpark kept the room well lit, making it very difficult to sleep. If we had been told on check-in about the blind (lack of privacy and bright carpark lights), we would have accepted another room. In the morning, we asked to speak with the manager about our issue, and we were told he was not in for three days. However, we will be contacted by email. We felt some recompense was appropriate for our poor nights sleep. It has been a week, and we have heard nothing. We are disappointed at the lack of concern and contact.

1. The first day when we went to collect the keys, I tried contacting the landlord several times, but it kept going to voice mail. 2. The floor wasn't clean. Felt dirt on our feet when walking. Had to buy flip flops from Primark to keep our feet clean. 3. Sofa didn't seem like it was cleaned or tidied since last use. 4. The square pillows on the bed stank. We kept them on the floor away from the bed. 5. The blinds were in bad condition. 5. Stayed for 6 days, but no extra bedding or towels were provided. Had to purchase our own from Asda 6. TV didn't work. No channels were tuned and couldn't manually tune it ourselves either. 7. Netflix was very slow when we connected our phone to the TV. So, I watched Netflix on our phone for 6 days. 8. There were no batteries in the bedroom TV remote. 9. No kitchen rolls were provided. Had to buy our own. 10. Parked our car on site, not realising we needed a permit (not mentioned on the advert). Came back home to find parking fines of £240! Contacted the landlord regarding this. She said a parking permit was provided in a bright red book placed on the dining table. But there was NO RED BOOK on the dining table. I emailed her back TWICE, telling her we didn't find any red book in the apartment. She has ignored my emails, and we're still awaiting a response. Considering we stayed for 6 days and paid £436, we didn't feel like we were treated like valuable customers at all. The apartment could've been prepared a lot better. Customer service could've been a lot better. The pictures of the apartment do not represent reality. Bad hygiene. Bad facilities. Bad customer service. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. We felt very unclean staying there. Worst place I've stayed at so far. Would not recommend. I can see that similar reviews have been written by previous customers, but the same problems still exist.
