How does it work?

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • 2 Bed Apartment Hove, East Sussex

The flat is modern, clean sunny and spacious with good furniture. The location of the flat is excellent for walking down to the sea front, or catching the train from Hove station to other destinations. Both beds were very comfortable. Towels / linen excellent. The dishwasher was useful too. We were able to park for free in the car park and the host was very helpful with this. The whole block is very well kept and communal areas and lift etc was spotless. Entry was easy via a key fob.

We self-catered for some meals and found there were no oven dishes, oven gloves or baking trays. No large mugs for tea or spare tea-towels, no cleaning equipment such as sprays / cloths / new bin bags etc. A microwave would be a handy addition to the kitchen. The dishcloth and sponge provided by the sink were well used, and we felt these should be provided fresh for each new person. It would be helpful if there had been a general information folder containing information about where to put the rubbish, and which buses service the area etc. Local attractions.

  • Old Anchor Cottage, Broadstairs.

    Broadstairs, United Kingdom

    • Positive section of review

Conveniently located in the center of Broadstairs in a charming little square with an ensample of lovely little flintstone cottages, just a few meters away from the harbor and the beach. The house had an extensive library of DVDs, CDs, books and games and a playing room in the basement - so very suitable for families with kids. Kitchen equipped with everything you need for a longer stay incl. a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, lots of pots and pans.

Key deposit box needs some lubricant, had a hard time releasing the key. The mattress was way too soft for my liking, me and my wife could barely sleep on it. The overall cleanliness could have been better, especially the bath room was very dusty in the corners, also the outdoor table on the little backyard patio needed cleaning from bird... you know... but otherwise it was quite OK. Some of the floorboards in the main bedroom are loose, so you hear a *plong-plong* every time you walk from the bath room into the bedroom. Light bulb from one of the lamps in the living room broken, probably because it has a EU-thread and they didn't have a replacement at hand. During our stay the kitchen fuse flew, so I had to text the host (Phil and Beverly) under the mobile number they provided, but did not get any answer so I looked myself for the fuse box and eventually found it next to the sofa.

Staff were excellent and the chap who booked us in at 11pm was EXCEPTIONAL! He was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, funny and tolerant of a couple of very weary travellers. I am annoyed that I can't remember his name but he deserves recognition.

Could only access the hotel from one side of the motorway and we were on the wrong side and then had to double back in the morning.
