room location was good, there were no batteries in the remote control for the tv we requested this but someone turned up with a remote control not just the batteries. Late on the 2nd night someone knocked on the door after 11pm to bring the batteries...and we also had someone turn up at our door on the morning we were checking out to open up the sofa bed.. We didnt request assistance - the staff member showed us the request on his phone - thought this was a bit odd as we were checking out that day! Maybe the room number was incorrect!

Stale smell in the hall outside of the room. Dark areas in the hotel for mood lighting was just a bit too dark. Could have done with fresh air in the hotel but all windows are closed. Didnt like the remote control for the lights - easy to use but restricted where and when you could use the lights - if you just wanted lights on in the bathroom (which were too low), you couldn't do that without turning on all the lights in the room. I would have liked more air in the room (menopausal lol) but only one setting on the air con up or down on the temperature, which wasn't quite cutting it for me. The cool setting on the hairdryer worked though!

The location was amazing. Having the old railway line walk from the site meant we could walk anywhere. The staff in reception were very welcoming, polite and helpful.

Room was dirty, plugs and sockets filthy and although they had apparently been tested, the date was more than a week in the future! Great electrician, not. Advertises a safe in each room but it's not working and they've lost the key so we had to take passports, document and keys with us every day. They claim it is safe to leave items in the room yet it took more than 15 minutes to be attended when we arrived, so we could've done anything, gone anywhere. Access from window into the room is very easy so I did not feel secure. Front door security is a joke. Security entrance code is engraved on keyring which clearly means it's never changed 🤦. Does not advertise that there is no lift or only access is via stairs, which is not a problem if we'd known beforehand. Two pensioners taking a case up a narrow stairway is not fun. Finally, towels were not changed for some reason on penultimate day therefore still damp early the following morning 😟
