  Room was excellent, spacious and very comfortable. Lots of extras, tea and coffee and snacks. En suite very good, bath and shower. Quiet and easy to access on first floor. Free parking was great. Easy walk into centre.

  The staff were exceptionally helpful, when there was an issue with WiFi, and I did get moved on the last night

  The property was having renovation work done, it was like being in a crime scene with plastic on the floors, and the room I was in was old and dated and I had to walk up and around the hotel to access the room because everything was closed off due to the renovation work. This was not a cheap hotel but at this time definitely not value for money. The WiFi was none existent which was extremely frustrating as I was there for work purposes and really hindered me. However when the works completed it will be amazing as I saw and got moved to a renovated room on my last night.

  Our room was tiny!!! When we pulled back the sheets there was a massive stain on the bottom sheet … yuk. We reported to reception and they changed it but that made me feel sick.

  Some shelves in shower room… not a fan of wet rooms, would prefer an enclosed shower. I am inclined to fall a lot and there was quite a lot of water from my companion taking a shower. I was too nervous to take one

  1 The door of the room had a 2 inch gap which led to noise outside room. 2 One of the large towels in the bathroom was still damp, and not clean. 3 The main light did no function. 4 Walls/ceiling was 'paper Thin' which led to excessive noise. 5 Hot breakfast only included fried eggs and hard bacon. 6 Fresh fruit i.e. Bananas were mouldy, looked like one of them was covered in bird excrement. 7 Not even an offer of reducing the bill at check out. £202.50 total cost per night
