It was a sweet accommodation, perfect for a couple for two nights. The bathroom and toiletries were outstanding and we really loved the thoughtful welcome goodies! It's a good location, right by the harbour. The owner communicated with us really well and was very honest on the description of the property.
Negative section of review
The accommodation was great, but it was a little noisy as it was single glazed. It was (as clearly stated) close to a clock that chimed every hour, on the hour, and close to a pub and a restaurant. The seagulls (as warned) were loud. There was (as stated) no parking. We know the village well so that was not a huge issue - but for anyone with a larger car or for anyone more nervous of driving, it might be a problem.

Nothing - did not stay due to poor condition of building, room and lack of security given building had been targeted but had already paid the fee- no refund forthcoming - even the "cleaning" fee!

For the two nights paid a premium of 3 times normal as it was during the Springsteen concert period. The Horizon apartment block is in a poor area frequented by drunks/druggies. The main entrance was completely smashed in and the door to the building insecure. The room was not as pictured and poor. Even though the likelihood of finding an alternative room was slim my wife and I (as well as other couples attempting to stay there felt that the rooms and conditions were untenable particularly as the entrance is unmanned. We managed to find a place an hour north of Sunderland and fortunately found another place for the second night - One couple in a similar room opting to drive 200 miles home to Stoke rather than stay. Many communications over the last two weeks to their complaints department have been fobbed off with no resolution and misinformation as to them not being contacted by Booking.com. Shame that I could not score less than 1

Very central, ease of access to everything, there was parking available (tho' at an additional cost)... Staff were super friendly and the selection offered for breakfast was first class...
Negative section of review
Cost of parking could have been less expensive, noise could be heard in the corridor during the day, but it was as quiet as any city centre hotel at night for sleeping!
Positive section of review
Central location and lots of food places nearby. The place is clean and is a decent size so you can open your suitcase on the floor too
Negative section of review
The bed is VERY soft and we can feel the sorings when lying down on the mattress. The shower water temperature also goes from warm to very hot to very cold very randomly with no changes to the dial temperature. This happens maybe every 30-45s and makes taking a shower stressful

Room was comfortable and a good size. Car park on site.
