Very comfortable room and spotlessly clean. There was also an excellent shower. The breakfast was first class....beautifully served and cooked fresh. Lovely freshly ground coffee. It is a family run hotel and the owners could not be more friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend it and look forward to returning

The property was spot on and was certainly provided us with what we required for a very good short break. The greeting on our arrival was fabulous and having a parking spot directly outside was another additional bonus. We would certainly return to the property if available for any future visits to Dawlish.

The location was hilly and although it didn't impact that much on our visit, as we drove each day down to the town centre and parked on the municipal carpark the cost of which was not excessive, I make this point purely from the perspective that I had a problem with my knee.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. Room was a decent size, with a large separate bathroom, which was big enough for a bath and separate shower. Morning breakfast was included in our price, and there was a good choice of food available.

Room tended to be quite hot although there was a fan available, but only needed to be in the room to sleep. Housekeeping should have checked that there was an adequate supply of soap in the hand dispenser, but that seems to have been overlooked.

The owner allowed us to have a one hour extension before leaving, which was very much appreciated.

We partly enjoyed our stay, however the place needs a very good clean. I felt physically sick when i opened the oven door. Inside it could only be described as filthy. Felt cold at times too, as only a very thin quilt on the beds. Did not supply us with towels, although to be honest, we were told about that before we arrived. Cigarette stumps galore, outside in the back yard. Overall we were disappointed, as the house just needs some attention to make it better.

Lights didn't work in most rooms, no mirror was told one in bathroom but wasn't there... Shower leaked and nearly flooded down the staires... Told staff who said would come and look at lights shower and get us mirror... No staff came and they did nothing..
