We have stayed in a few Holiday Inns but nothing quite like this one. My husband used to stay here a lot when he was working abroad and returned from the tunnel so he knew this place pretty well and I have to say I loved it. Convenient location for visiting Port Lympne Safari Park and the surrounding areas. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The hotel itself is superb, the breakfast is freshly cooked to order and there are other choices for breakfast too. The bar is great after a long day and serves great coffee from a proper machine! Big shout out to Howard the Manager for making us so welcome, we are returning later in the year and bringing family too its that good!

Stayed in an upstairs double room. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection to choose from. The bed was very comfy and room had a lovely view overlooking the river. There was adequate hanging space for clothes but could do with more drawer space. A full length mirror would be useful. Evening meal at the Hayloft restaurant was excellent.

Noisy location. Arrived on the Saturday and walked out into a loud and chaotic street. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were really awful. We travel often and can honestly say this was the most uncomfortable and sleepless nights we’ve both had.

Had to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs. The vegetarian option on evening menu was a very small portion in comparison with the other meat dishes. Car parking is very limited.

This property has mould / fungus growing on the ceiling of the single bedroom space, which is very close to the bed (v low ceiling). The owner is fully aware and yet didn’t bother to tell us about it beforehand. Son had to sleep on the sofa and blinds do not make the space dark enough to sleep. Requested partial refund and have been offered £20. We paid £144 so £44 I would have thought reasonable as we did stay (what choice did we have?) Owner also messaged to ask us to leave a positive review before we had even checked in. I realise things happen (apparently a leak in another flat) but if you know about it, make people aware so they can make an informed decision! After raising the problem the owner stopped communicating.
