Good location, friendly staff. A 10 minute walk to Stroud centre downhill then up. Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast. WiFi seemed OK.

The only negative was the thick duvet so was too hot in bed.

The room, including the bathroom, was spacious and quiet. Telephone customer service beforehand and individual on reception on arrival.

There were no pre instructions with regards to parking; we had to park on double yellows outside and run in to find out where. It didn’t live up to the description so far as ‘seating area’ - there was one comfy seat, no iron, TV remotes didn’t work - we were given two - so we’re stuck with BBC 1 all night! No tea/coffee maker - and the electric kettle had to be placed on the floor in order to reach a useable socket. It didn’t look like it had been hoovered and the skirting behind the bed (had to plug in side lamp) was disgustingly filthy. Curtesy phone call after and feedback on site when checking out felt like lip service and not really interested. Although the booking refers to “there is no meal option with this room”, the narrative against the hotel suggests restaurant and coffee shop. I think the description just needs to be a truer reflection of what to expect, as it could be a little gem with a bit of care.

Good breakfast. Late night meal order worked perfectly.

Designer room styled into the Wicked musical theme. There are 12 various lighting sources but when you need full light to be able to e.g. pack your luggage, all you get is very gloomy light. You want to use hair dryer? The socket is below the large mirror, so you have to crouch to be able to use it.

I didn’t like the bathroom set up a sliding door between shower and toilet area wasn’t really private. The fact that you had no privacy in the bathroom made sharing a room uncomfortable.

The bed was dirty from the night before. It took 4 hours to for them to bring new bedding to the house. No kitchen equipment. Plus dirty kitchen.
