The Quays is an excellent venue. Friendly and welcoming staff and a great manager. Comfortable and well equipped. Linked to a fine Greene King Pub/Restaurant. The bar was well run with excellent beers. The restaurant served good value Full English & Continental Breakfasts. Their Carvery meals offered a good choice of roast meats and vegetables. We will definitely return and will recommend to our friends.

Nice city, lots of restaurants around the corner. Good breakfast at Lynwood&Co, great diner at the New Inn Hotel. Also very dog friendly. Parking seems to be an issue but we could park every day on the small square around the corner, officially for 2 hrs, but nobody seems to worry. Overall a good stay.

The bed in the master bedroom is very soft, caused back pain, had to move to the smaller room, bed is smaller but much better. No coffee machine, although clearly visible on the pictures. Could be cleaner. The garden set is pure for decoration, unsuitable to sit on. Very noisy road in front of the cottage, especially during the weekend.

Lovely cute single room up in the attic with comfy double bed... hot water wasslow to fill the bath which Tina warned me abput.. so happily pottered till it was ready ecause ooh the water was hot.. great for soaking aching muscles at end of a day.

Nothing... except cocunut flakes in the picnic granola thing.. so Tina swopped it outfor me with no problem. Aberfeldy on the edge of lots of things so plenty to do.. Oh did the spa and the slide i to the 4° loch!! That was worth a scream..

Lovely clean, comfortable rooms, with plenty of tea/coffee & biscuits. Very friendly and helpful host. In good location. Half hour walk into Harrogate + buses to Harrogate & Knaresborough nearby. Would definitely use again

Very little went well. Service in the bar was pretty good, but marred by having no facility to charge anything to our room. (This, despite being issued with a guest card specifically for charging items to the room).

Service in the restaurant was slow and chaotic. Breakfast food was poorly heated and cooked far too long in advance. On arrival we noted that the poorly lit room was short of one bedside light. The reception initially could not help, and only after long negotiation permitted us to carry a table lamp from reception to the room.In our three night stay no staff member entered our room: no cleaning, no replacement tea, no service. The window mechanism was broken. Fortunately it was warm weather.

Location close to the centre of Lyme and easy walk in along the river. The sofa bed that I was sleeping on was very simple to set-up and comfortable. It did us proud.

The people were lovely, the room was well equipped and very clean. Location is good, within walking distance of the town centre and castle. Ample free parking.

There was a weird window into the corridor at the bottom of the bed and the blind left gaps so people walking past could see in, fixed by placing a pillow against it though! Had trouble with the keypad door on return at nightime, called the out of hours number and they let us in so that was good.
