I had a great stay at at the Hopping Hare, very comfortable bedrooms and super helpful staff. I loved that it had free parking and was a little out of the centre, so it had more green space around the facilities. Located in a quiet residential area.

I would have loved a decent Latte in the morning rather than a filter coffee and some fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet. But overall the breakfast that I ordered was really nice.

The sign at the entrance could of been better.

Beautiful accommodation. Exceptional facilities. A nearby walk to a large grocery store and petrol station. Bus stops close to the accommodation which made travel into central Edinburgh easy.

Room was adequate, view was terrible, staff were friendly, food wasn't the greatest but edible. Other guests were obvious drug users, parking spaces were good.
Negative section of review
Lack of certain foods in the breakfast menu eg, black pudding, fried bread, fried egg.

It was right on the seafront with beautiful views. It had parking. Within easy reach of the town

Breakfast was fine and staff friendly and a superb location

Our room had an awful drain like smell coming from the bathroom which was only relieved by opening windows which in turn let in the noise of locomotive sat in atholl station from minute until gone 2am with its am engine running. The staff to their credit did move us when I complained. We were told we were being put 'in the honeymoon suite with a jacuzzi' --which we were reluctant to use as the plug had no chain on it so we would have been unable to remove the plug to drain the water out if the bath had been filled. The lever to switch the water flow from tap to shower head was non functional. The stand alone shower worked but the holster and the shower head were not compatible so the shower head was for ever falling out. I fully understand how challenging maintaining an old property must be but the faults I described could not be attributed to the properties age just poor basic maintenance.

No ventilation or air con in the room. It was the most uncomfortable two nights I have ever had to endure.
