Very quaint pub from the front, but much bigger than expected, it sprawled back so must have had over 30 rooms I guess. Check in was ok, but a little surprising as we had to advise our preferred breakfast times at check for our 2 night stay within a 15 minute window (I guess as they were busy?) Lots of parking at the side and rear for the hotel part. Breakfast was excellent, some staff were also excellent (Des?) always friendly and smiling, and ready to help. Others, not so much, a bit curt. Nice (but small) shower cubicle, and lovely shower gels, shampoos, lotions and (I'm pleased to say) hair conditioner.

Rooms were ok, but the pillows were rock hard. We asked the lady on reception if it was possible to have 2 softer pillows and she contacted housekeeping immediately. After returning from our walk, the room was made, but with the same pillows. Needless to say, we had very uncomfortable sleep over the 2 nights. And cos of this, won't return here, despite the location being great. On another note, would appreciate a little bit more choice for vegetarians and vegans...counted 1 veggie and 1 vegan main course...quite poor. Also, I asked the bar manager if there were any 'specials' and he told me no there were not. However, later on that evening I noticed a Specials board on the bar....with an extra veggie option! :-( Was unhappy that housekeeping opened our bathroom window after cleaning the room, we were on the ground floor, which was an easy target for a opportunistic thief!

Good location 6 minutes walk from the rail station and 10 minutes walk to the shopping centre. Buses were located only 1 minute from the bus stop and easy access to the High Street as we wanted to go to Primark for shopping.

Sadly the breakfast only had fried eggs no scrambled eggs, tomatoes, mushroom and hash brown option. There were no vegetarian sausages available.

Staff were excellent , polite and very helpful. Everything was so clean and presentable. Lovely choice of breakfasts also restaurant food excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Good value for the money. Will stay again.

Location is amazing, opposite the gates to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. We really enjoyed the stay in the 2 bedroom apartment, will be sure to book again.

Shower way too hot and couldn’t get it to a decent temperature so after burning my hand I gave up. The bedroom window had been opened whilst we were out, but on stating this to the owner he said no one had opened it. I don’t lie. My partner and I both know it had been opened and felt it was an invasion of privacy.
