Quiet location with Pavilion & sea at bottom road which can see if stick head out window and just short walk shops & cafes. Host was there to greet us careful to say that any requests just ask and to help ourselves tea tray refills from hall. Clean spacious attic room that felt private with ensuite bathroom & everything need for stay. Views across houses complete with perching seagulls to moors. Good cooked breakfast served promptly by attentive host. Stairs made great workout! Whitby itself very pretty and everyone amazingly friendly.

Towels shedding purple bits all over me after every shower though sure host would have replaced them if asked. Heating off and room chilly on return first couple nights until we learnt leave radiators on when left each morning. Would be more efficient if heating on whole time but lower central thermostat setting rather than burst of heating twice day. Shower tray & glass clean but had easily cleaned dark gunge around fittings not up to standard rest of accommodation. Scratchy flannelette sheet on bed but otherwise comfortable. Three slightly uptight wordy notices in room would be better replaced by host showing us to room where could tell us the same in relaxed manner. Property should remove daily housekeeping listing from booking.com as host said not been doing that since COVID.

The apartment we stayed in was extremely lovely. Great decor, modern, clean and comfortable.great bed. Being in the middle of Melbourne was a perfect location, amazing places to eat out. Beautiful walks in the area too. Melbourne Hall is worth a visit, great view at the mill pond. Icing on the cake we actually spoke to Johnny Vegas on his field of dreams, which was our inspiration to visit this stunning village National trust Calle Abbey a short drive away too. Incredible place to visit as well.

Breakfast wasn’t included in the price. Location was perfect. Within walking distance to amenities. We got 10% off a breakfast at a certain cafe. Short drive to national trust places. We are members of. Our room was lovely and modern. Comfortable bed. Highly recommend this place to stay.

Debbie was very welcoming on arrival and a great and attentive host during breakfast. Also, the breakfast was exceptional value for money. Lastly, the variety of coffee and tea options in the room was excellent.

The Leonardo Hotel is a modern, clean, professionally run place to stay. Its location is perfect if you are arriving/departing from Heathrow Airport.

we got a big room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view. The room was clean.

The lift doesn’t go further than the 2nd floor. The room was hot, very difficult to get it any cooler. It was under the roof so in summer it must be unbearably hot.

Breakfast was very well organised. However, went down for dinner. What a joke. There was a buffet, which was absolutely ransacked, bits of food all over the buffet the food that remained was all dried out, cold, or non-existent. Terrible. Wouldn’t have ever thought this was a Hilton hotel. Very,very poor. When I asked the person about ordering food from the kitchen, I was handed a card with 3 or 4 things to choose from, non of the choices sounded evenly remotely appetising. All meals from that night were eaten elsewhere.
