I've stayed here a number of times before - this time unfortunately it was to attend the funeral of my niece. The White Hart also accomodated the wake after the funeral, and it was well catered and met all our needs. There is plenty of parking, and the bedrooms are located in a 2-storey block away from the main pub, which ensured a good night's sleep

The restaurant stopped serving at 20:30, so we missed out on dinner. However there is a supermarket within walking distance so at least snacks could be obtained

Breakfast was generous, kindly and quickly served. The staff were incredibly helpful, particularly as I am a lone disabled traveller. I was grateful for their help and patience with me. The room and facilities were spotlessly clean. The bathroom is beautiful.

The beside lamp switches were too far from the bed to reach and there were no sockets close to the bed for charging. It was tricky getting in and out of bathroom with my rollator but as it was not a disabled adapted room this is not a major complaint.

It was very close to all of the areas I wanted to travel to such as the London Coliseum, the national portrait gallery and the British museum. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were polite.

It was very small, which was ok as we weren't spending much time in the room. It didn't have a bath only a shower, which I was slightly disappointed in. The walls were very thin and you could hear people talking outside the room and the guests next door going to the loo. There was construction going on in the hotel which I wasn't told of before the stay. I understand the need for refurbishment, however, I think it would've been better practice to notify the guests before their stay. There were lights above the bed and when you sat up they would either get in the way or you would hit your head. There were instances when you hit your head on the wall light, all of the lights would flicker. There was a few little things like the TV was wonky on the wall and the shower had a three in one bath, shower and body wash. I would've liked some conditioner. We had to request extra teabags and milk twice during our stay. I like my tea, but I felt they were quite stingy with the teabags and milk. It would've been nice to have the tea refilled when the cleaners went to clean up. Generally I think the stay was ok, it was a bed to sleep in and that's the main thing. But the hotel could definitely have paid more attention to the little details to make the room feel a lot nicer than what it was.

Service was very poorer nobody seamed to know anything all doing different jobs. one minute the person on the reception was serving drinks then back on reception the n serving tables. had a table booked but still had to wait for a table to be set up. service at the table was very slow, was never asked if we wanted any more drinks. long wait for food - however when it came out food wasw very good
