Very good downtown location, close walking distance to the main attractions. Convenient parking in the NCP Glasshouse car park, 2 blocks behind the hotel, the hotel has a deal for a price of £8.00 / 24 hrs. Get a discounted ticket from the reception desk when you check out. You can unload and load your bags in the car in front of the hotel. The reception lobby is on the second floor of an 8story building, they have a lift. Friendly staff, we were very early so they stored our luggage until check in time. I found the bed very comfortable, my wife thought it was a little firm. Adequate size bathroom with large walk-in shower.

Very uncomfortable square toilet and seat, dumb design. The bathroom mirror vision was obstructed with a painting of a large construction crane, making the mirror unusable, I had to shave while leaning over the toilet. My wife's number one complaint, no luggage rack. If you're from the US, the hotels in the UK do not provide wash cloths, so we always bring our own. I don't know how they wash their face and body?

Really nice family run place with great views over the bay. Very welcoming and good breakfast. There is also plenty of space to sit outside in the evening after a busy day. with only four rooms, it's good for a bit of quiet away from lots of people.

Food was good we ate both nights, although staff a bit overwhelmed with the restaurant being busy. Our waitress was very pleasant and apologise for the wait, we weren’t in a rush though.

No room service, but we’re tidy and are able to make our own bed. The rooms aren’t sound proofed, l did read this in a previous review & you can hear your neighbours in their room talking.

Room not serviced, few/no visible staff. No wifi in room had to go to bar for wifi and bar closed one evening. We had to ask for toilet roll. Had to search for staff to get breakfast items. Asked for milk sachets for room but were told they had run out and were given a glass of milk.

During my stay at the Lake View Guest House in Bowness-on-Windermere, I encountered numerous issues: - The accommodation was misleadingly advertised; although online it claimed to offer one double and two single beds, there was only a double bed and a single bed. Interestingly, upon departure, we discovered a fold-up single bed in the wardrobe, contradicting the explanation given by the staff. - Hand soap was not provided upon arrival. - Despite requesting a WiFi dongle three times, we had to collect it ourselves, only to discover it was non-functional. - The bathroom presented broken floor tiles, creating a potential trip hazard. - The kitchen lacked sufficient crockery and utensils, with only two cups for three people and no spoons provided. - The kettle required manual support to boil. - Sockets were inconveniently low to the ground, rendering them unusable, and exposed wires were visible. - Persistent loud music emanated from across the road. - The bathroom exhibited a mouldy ceiling, along with dirty grout and shower. - Water temperatures fluctuated inconsistently. - The shower rail was damaged and hanging precariously. - The bed emitted squeaking noises. - The dining room emitted a smell of smoke, with lighters left out on the counter. - Additionally, the establishment was awaiting inspection for its food and safety rating.
