Stayed here as I went to Bristol with my daughter specifically to see Hamilton at the Hippodrome. The location was excellent, staff were friendly, room was spotless. I requested a late checkout as I was really sick on my day of departure & despite the hotel being fully booked for that night my request was accommodated & I will be eternally grateful to the receptionist I spoke to for doing that.

I had to get my room key reactivated twice which was a bit annoying. My room was on the 6th floor and the seagulls seemed to perch right outside on the roof. They were very noisy but not the fault of the hotel.

Room good and sea view was a bonus. Pool was ok . Check in was very good but when we ordered breakfast they should have asked if there was any dietary requirements. If they had told us the vegan option was poor we would not have booked breakfast and gone somewhere else. Grandsons enjoyed the breakfast sausages with beans. The evening entertainment for the children was very good.

Breakfast disappointing. Daughter is vegan and allergic to quorn. No alternative was offered. Basically she had beans and toast which really didn't make the £10.99 worth it. My cooked breakfast was fair though the bacon had been overdone and almost burned. Probably won't stay again at the Doric.

The property is excellently presented with good equipment throughout. It was perfect for our purposes in attending a music festival in Beverley. Having stayed here last years as well, we were delighted to return and grateful that the property was available once more.

Perhaps explain about the parking - it was really easy to sort (when I found a spot) but took a couple of messages back and forth. It isn't the host's fault but the street the property is on is, well, imperfect? We encountered no problems apart from evening (not late night) shouting with the odd swear word. However, there was a smashed tv on the pavement, a housefront with a knocked down wall and a couple of litter filled housefronts.
