      Superb location!!! Beautiful surroundings, quiet , sheltered and peaceful but with far-reaching views across a valley. Old, characterful buildings set in extensive grounds and complete privacy. Also quite easy to get to by road and close to amenities in Llandovery. Good wi-fi, too. Breakfast served in a separate characterful room with exposed roof timbers. No cooked breakfast available, but Tamar prepares a delicious selection of fruit and pastries for each guest, along with the cereals, tea, coffee, toast etc to guarantee a tasty and filling start to the day.

      Nothing really. The hosts are around and easy to talk to and keen to ensure guests enjoy their stay. Had I found something I didn’t like, I’m sure it would have been sorted!

      I have never stayed anywhere so dirty and dated in my life. Myself and wife had to sleep on top of the sheets and use our clothing as blankets it was disgusting. The towels were wet in the bathroom as if they had been used before us, the shower mat was sodden. We had to wear our shoes constantly as the carpet was filthy. Had to go to the shops and get jungle formula as both got bitten so much when in the room. Tried to stay out of the hotel until we needed to go to sleep. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

      Our first time experience at a Surya Hotel, was lovely, the second visit was horrible. Claire is a delight, she ensured a wonderful stay throughout our initial four days at the hotel. Ryan is lovely too as well as Ashley and another young slim gentleman I cannot remember the name of. A very lovely lady also serving at the bar, very helpful and happy to help. Second visit in May was unpleasant throughout.

      We have stayed at this hotel twice, April 2024 (four days) and May 2024 (five days). Our visit in April, was lovely, we looked forward to returning. Our experience in May was awful and distressing, we will never book with Surya hotels again. Surya hotels is only willing to provide customer service at a cost. We had horrible experiences at the Dragonfly Hotel within just eighteen hours and requested a transfer of our stay due to the horrible experiences at Dragonfly Hotel. Had to pay an additional £59.40 for the transfer to The Dukes Head Hotel. Dinner plates are no longer provided for guests to borrow at The Dukes Head Hotel. I had sprained my ankle, I was in pain, my mother and I were exhausted due to the distressing three days at Dragonfly Hotel. Once we transferred our stay to The Dukes Head hotel we prepared for a quiet dinner in the bedroom despite it being a Friday night, we wanted to go out and enjoy ourselves but could not due to how drained we had become due to a horrible stay. Dinner was bought from outside but The Dukes Head no longer allows guests to borrow dinner plates. We were drained, I was in pain, despite having paid for dinner to eat in our room, we had to go out to purchase dinner again at a restaurant which cost £4?.00. We had also paid £59.40 for the transfer of the room. After check out, Surya have contacted me asking for more money! When I told Charlotte at 18:40pm that I will be as quick as I can to collect my luggage from Dragonfly, she told me their is not any rush. James says I should have transferred to the room before midday if I wanted to avoid another additional charge of £67.50! There are at least nine horrible experiences within 24hours, not enough space to share them all. I was not able to share all the horrible experiences at Dragonfly Hotel due to this too. After I have queried the charges for the room transfer, Surya state "they cannot do anything as I had booked via booking.com".

      It was lovely better than we expected , clean ,comfy, just in the right position for a walk by the sea. The views from the balcony is lovely as is the view from the front windows . Magical , all the eating places was just a walk away fab

      Bathroom could do with a good clean and tidy up albeit everything worked. A chair in the bedroom would have been useful. Outside display board could do with updating

      The location was perfect. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed. It's lovely little property.
