  Nothing.didnt get entry at the time we intimated of our arrival. Rang bell knocked on door for about 12 minutes and no answer . Since 7.30 pm had to book elsewhere. Had paid full price for the “last room” then went back on the site and “the last room”was being advertised at an increase of £15. We called after we booked elsewhere and owner denied that she want there to allow entry. That was about 8 pm. Astonishingly we had contact from her at 8.30 asking us when we would arrive!!!. We appreciate that the booking was non refundable but we attended and could not get entry and were placed in a situation where we had to assure accommodation at that late time and fulfilled our part of the contract but she did not on hers. It left a sour taste in our mouths and spoiled our break. There was no apology or attitude that she was in the wrong. Under these circumstances we would be in a legally sound position to pursue reimbursement of lost deposit. R. Murray

  I had the pleasure of staying at Beechwood House for a night in April and enjoyed it so much that I am staying again very soon. Everthing is exceptional. The communication from the owners is very efficient and they are very accomodating ( I had to make a small change to my first booking and they were more than happy to help - much appreciated). The house is a short walk from Keswick centre making it ideal for exploring there and the surrounding fells. The house was very clean, warm and welcoming. The owners very kindly made sure there was milk in the fridge for our arrival and even left a lovely small toiletries package in the bedrooms. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  I loved the location. The staff and breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. I enjoyed staying in the room. Nice welcome with the fan on and window open when I got there. I also liked the radio being on, I felt right at home.

  It was close to the underground which is great for walking distances! To navigate, it can take you through a lot of alleyways and such but it’s in a great area with food places and lovely scenery!

  The few staff that were there were extremely overworked and stressed which resulted in them being rude and unhelpful. The dinner in the restaurant was very disappointing with low quality ingredients. We were actually told that they only cater for bus tours and did not have interest or time to support individual bookings.
