The staff were amazing. Had a slight problem with the air con and they came and fixed it within minutes. So spacious. We had a split level apartment with two double beds perfect for myself and my two little girls. It was so stylish I was really pleasantly surprised as I managed to get it at a really good price.

There was some noise from the apartment upstairs but it had stopped by about 11 pm. Not the fault of Duke street townhouse just noisy neighbours.

The location was great, handy for visiting Aviemore and surrounding areas. It was nice and quiet, lovely to have the seating area outside ( the weather was awful so we sadly could use it) The owner was quick to reply and kindly let us borrow a travel cot. The bedding and curtains were lovely.

Sadly the lodge isn’t suitable for young families. The spare room is so small- the picture doesn’t show how small it is. There was barely enough space in the main room for the travel cot so we ended up putting the baby and 4YO in the main room with 1 adult and took it in turns staying in the spare room so our wee girl wasn’t alone in the tiny room. There was a lot of stuff left in the main wardrobe so we couldn’t really use it. Random blankets and bedding stuffed into the wardrobe. We couldn’t access it anyway as that was the only space available for the travel cot. There are little touches that need to be fixed in the lodge, no battery in the clock/one of the sitting room light bulbs needs changed/ toilet radiator is rusty and covered in marks. Wallpaper is peeling in the main room. No spare toilet roll provided, no oven mitt for cooking, the utensils were a bit greasy/hadn’t been cleaned. The DVD remote was missing. The main issue apart from lack of sleeping space was no internet, this isn’t very clear in the description but we couldn’t get access to WiFi at the lodge. Thankfully I had taken DVD’s for our girl to watch and it was nice to not be glued to my phone for a few days but if I had realised how small the spare room is and that there is no internet I wouldn’t have booked this stay.

Perfect location for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Cottage had everything we needed for a short stay. Kids loved playing in the garden area. Lynn and husband were lovely and friendly hosts 😃

Difficult for an adult to move around in the loft sleeping space but perfect for the kids. I slept on the sofa bed instead which was very comfy.

Room we was given had water stains down the walls and one velux window so no view at all got a new room but they are just dated swimming pool chlorine levels were off the scale burning eyes after 5 mins jacuzzi closed showers had empty shower gell containers . Bar area is amazing its not all bad staff are attentive 100% Shame about the rooms need an overhaul Ian

Bedroom had leaking toilet valve so noise of running water all night. Curtains and windows dirty Had to turn heat off towel rail, room stifling hot from this Woken by noise of pigeons sitting 1 yard from open window at 05.00
