Positive section of review
An extremely well equipped kitchen, we found the beds comfy and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The house is in a brilliant location for everything and we walked everywhere. We enjoyed our stay (anniversary and no children!) although people have mentioned noise from the pub which is directly across from the house so feel it's inevitable for noise, we stayed a Bank holiday weekend and although yes it was loud it seemed to stop relatively quickly and didn't bother us.

We said on appearance it looks lovely, but when you look closer you notice little things like taped down laminate in the hallway, laminate that needs to be repaired in the kitchen (that seemed to be flagged by other people a couple of months beforehand) which was sharp and we kept catching our feet. The house did smell of dogs and there were dog hairs on the sofa, felt a bit like it was a rush clean before we were in. The sofa isn't really comfortable to relax on (presumably because it's a sofa bed) there wasn't any tea/coffee/pint of milk to welcome you in like other properties we have stayed at. So that meant a trip out as soon as we arrived. The shower door in the front bedroom is completely broken and the one downstairs in the family bathroom (my husband fashioned a wedge to stop it moving for our stay and again these were flagged in previous reviews) the remote in the living room was ridiculous, it needs instructions or replacement. The hot tub although lovely warm was missing the head rests and some hooks on the wall for towels would be fabulous. The astro turf in the garden was slippery and you could see the water running off of the steps at the bottom towards the hot tub (at this point it hadn't rained when we were staying), feel that could cause a major accident at some point. Parking was advertised as parking at the property, it's street parking away from the house.

Very rough, uphill approach to hotel from public road. Those with heavy cases need a smooth path. Very stiff front door, made worse by being at the top of a set of steps.

The only criticism we have is we couldn’t figure out the heating & was cold in the evenings, we did find a plug in radiator which very much appreciated
