Positive section of review
The location is fantastic, right opposite the beach with wonderful sea views. The landlords were great hosts and such lovely people. The breakfast was cooked to perfection EVERY morning, with fresh baked bread. The breakfast room overlooks the sea too. Eggs done all ways were perfect. The room was nice and big. There is free parking and we managed to get a spot right outside the B&B, and there is free parking along the street, but there is also a carpark almost opposite which is only £4 a day.

The only thing I would say is that the beds were quite firm and my elderly mum didn't sleep so good. However I don't mind that and I slept really well. So it's not really a negative, it's just a preference.

The location was beautiful. The weather helped and it felt like we were abroad. Quiet setting, yoga and water activities to do but not much else. Staff were excellent. Very friendly, attentive and service was spot on. The bar prices weren’t extortionate and the food was good. Breakfast was superb. The rooms were lovely and spacious with everything you could need including free gin, ice and a slice delivered to your door each afternoon.

Small criticism was the dust on our skirting boards, only found because I’d dropped something and our vanity unit had thick dust along the bottom rail.

The heated towel rail was very useful for drying our clothes quickly. The Romanian lady who cleaned the flat was most helpful. She had the shower, which was squirting water all over the place, fixed.

The apartment faced the main road and was thus extremely noisy, especially with the windows open. The windows were also dirty. The impersonal digital procedures are so difficult to follow. The armchair was broken, was removed. but was not replaced during our stay. The mattresses were on their last legs and need immediate replacement. The TV satellite was not adjusted correctly. No BBC channels. The front door was left unlocked by everybody except us. In Vienna where I live nobody would dream of renting out to visitors a place in such poor condition for so much money. The stair carpets are dirty and old. Fixtures and fitting are generally the cheapest available. The nearby parking meters do not work. Car parking in Croydon via Ringo is not satisfactory. The automated answer machine would not recognise the number of our hire car.

It was a great location for staying when was at a wedding nearby at the river barn.. The room was great and Darrell was really helpful and friendly when he greeted us on arrival.

The hotel was used for drug users and alcoholics . So it was extremely noisy and frightening
