We had just got off a sailing vessel and so any bed would have been comfortable!! however the location was great for getting off a tall ship and getting onto the train 2 days later. It also meant we were able to self cater. The only down side was dragging our bags up 4 flights but the view made it all worth while

It’s a lovely traditional pub located in the heart of the village of Kettlewell. A good voice of food on the menu including vegetarian options. Food in the evening was tasty with good sized portions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nicely decorated and clean.

Seemed understaffed which led to a few minor issues, tables in restaurant bar being dirty and needing to wait for service but we did stay over a busy bank holiday weekend. Room and bed were smaller than expected and the room felt a little damp, there was some evidence of damp with blackening around the window. Breakfast in the morning was slow as there was no only one staff member and no option to self-service with toast and hot drinks. Vegetarian cooked breakfast was a little disappointing being the meat version without the meat.

Breakfast was alright but not keen on the continental style so just toast and cereal for me not a bad location and quite at night

No fridge in the room and nowhere to sit

Upgraded to Room 13, quaint, small room full of beams, view over the main patio and water

The very low, uncomfortable bed. Stayed quite a few times, this was by far the worst nights sleep. Quite a lot of road noise too in the morning. The very low ceiling above the bath/shower, very impractical as well as the steel girder right at head height as you climb out of the bath. Two iron marks on the carpet too.

Bed was comfy and decor is trendy

No changing rooms for the pool so you have to walk through the restaurant in swimwear. Staff were civil but not particularly friendly. Breakfast was average
