Very helpful and kind staff. I feel safe and comfortable. Very clean room! And no cleaning perfumes or toxic air fresheners. Awesome, I really appreciated that. The kettle with some coffee and tea in the room made my mornings and evenings better. Close to my work meetings and transport. Very convenient situated. Channel, the dog :)

This is not really about the property, it’s in general in all London and old buildings: If you are really sound sensitive, have in mind that you can hear the vibrations/sound from trains running under the building. So you better book an upper floor room. Related to sounds: the walls are really thin. You can clearly hear your neighbors (and they can hear you). The rooms are pretty small. I am a petite person and it was ok. But I understand that it can be an issue. Have it in mind.

The hostel has an amazing atmosphere for solo travelers with their dinners, drinking games, daily tours and parties all together. The beds were enough to rest for the night and everyone was too friendly to whole time. The facilities (kitchen, toilets, and common area) are great.

Because of the condition of the building the showers are really small and sometimes busy a bit. I think it would be good to prepare yourself for this and take shower not really in busy times. Apart from that, everything was good.

Bed was comfortable and big. No breakfast, which was disappointing, but we knew that when we made the reservation. Walk to heart of town was easy, through the park. Quiet area, no interruptions to sleep.

Temperature in the room was pretty cool. Again, no breakfast (although you could order it from off-site to be delivered).

Martin and Dawn were very friendly and gave us advice on walking and eating in the area. There was a good parking place and a short walk into the town. The room was clean and had a lovely balcony.

Location, facilities in the room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff (especially at the reception), and the ability to leave our bags at the hotel after check out till we boarded our train.

There was a huge what I thought was a closet in a corner which when I opened turned out to be a sheer drop down the building with what was probably the laundry chute. This door should have been locked! One more light bulb is needed in the corridor of the room, it’s a little too dark.

Having four double bedrooms was a bonus with plenty of dining and lounge space to socialise. Quiet location in residential area and easy access to Sefton Park.

Staff were very pleasant and made the stay bearable. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was good. It was quiet.

Very small room directly overlooking the windows of another room. Bed very uncomfortable. Stairs to downstairs had a door immeadiatly infront of them which meant that you stepped directly onto a stair as you opened the door. Dining room dour and looked nothing like the pictures on Booking .com. Hotel had said that it catered for customers requiring dairy free meals but nothing was available at breakfast. Sadly will not be staying there again.
