The Red Lion was a lovely village pub in a very pretty village. For the price the accommodation was excellent and everyone very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. It was all just as we had hoped and will certainly stay again.

Clean rooms. Functional place. More geared towards on the go travellers. Few restaurants within walking distance. Both were booked so had to drive 25 minutes for dinner which was a bummer. But very clean and functional

First class breakfast. Freshly cooked to order. One of the best I’ve had. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely hotel, great location.

Only one moan, getting a drink at the bar took forever. There seemed to be enough staff but it was all very slow!

Decorating was bodged,room wasn't very clean. Shower curtain, as screen had gone. Mouldy and pink at the bottom. No plug in sink ,dirty hole. Blinds and mirror dirty. Despite turning all off and thermostat off. The bathroom radiator stayed on. This made the room very hot at night. Paintwork poor quality and patched,and spilt. Loud talking and shouting, arguing into early hrs. Despite asking front desk to stop it. Very strong smell of weed ,in early hrs and morning. so much I felt sick. The arguing and weed we think was the staff themselves. So not much hope of it stopping... Very small carpark that you cannot park in untill check in, as locked at all times. So how you supposed to park, to go check in . To then have them open the gates for you? Unfortunately won't recommend. Property has the potential to be a quaint boutique cosy type place. Unfortunately it's been thrown together on the cheap.
