Positive section of review
Central position in Alnwick with a Harry Potter theme. Lots of information about the area, where to eat and where to shop. Parking nearby and could park for 2 hours immediately outside. Both a bathroom and one bedroom with an ensuite. Provided a basket of goodies on arrival which was a nice touch. Grandchildren who like Harry Potter will love it.

It is called the Wizards Loft but wished it had been on the 1st and 2nd floor and not the 2nd and 3rd floor. Need to be quite fit for all the stairs. Everything thought out but need to take shower gel as no dispenser in either shower.

The in-room breakfast provided was more than adequate with a microwave, toaster, egg boiler and fridge all in the room. The location was in a quiet residential neighbourhood with an off-road parking space provided.

Great location, near the mall for food options. Use of the pool was good but do have some negatives on this. Room size and cleanliness was great

There was a Wedding at the hotel and really feel the staff could have located us in a quieter area so not to get disturbed by the music late in the night. Travelling with children who were in a cheerleading competition the following day and really needed a restful night. Also a pool user was very rude to us. It's definitely a leisure pool, not the format for lengths at all. In the pool with my children, who weren't being loud but just having fun. She wanted to do lengths and made us feel very uncomfortable for being in her way. My daughter got out of the pool to jump in and I was planning on saying that it was against the rules when she got back in but this old bat decided to do it for me, in an aggressive way! Also at breakfast on the Monday some members of staff were grouped together chatting and laughing loudly. Found this super unprofessional and not welcoming for people just wanting to have breakfast.

tight entrance at the bottom of the house for the car, struggled to get our 7 seater car in the garage, however it would be easier for smaller cars to be managed. I would just give an warning for cars greater than 5-6ft to be cautious

Went to bar twice to order , no one serving Wanted bar food but no menus displayed Breakfast room layout poor , not clear at all that eggs needed to be ordered until too late ( after had finished) Curtains in room didn’t close properly Heating didn’t come on in room only lukewarm

Needs modernising a tiny bit and possibly cleaning a bit more also. However, for the price I paid I can't Complain! Perfect!
