The owner Bob turned up as he said when we arrived. He was a lovely bloke. Talked us through everything, and helped us secure our bikes.(we were here to do the c2c the following morning). There was milk and tea and coffee. Cereal bars, with everything laid out neatly and well presented. A Morrisons local 100m away, and only a short 15 min walk to the harbour. We didn’t need to use all the facilities there, as it was such a short stay. But superb value for three of us for the night, and a one night stay is difficult to get. Fantastic for anyone else needing accommodation to do the coast to coast.

I sleep with the windows open, and there were cockerels and peacocks on an allotment close by. This woke me up, but the double glazing saved the morning, when I shut the window. My friends had the window shut and heard nothing.

The room was spacious and mostly clean. The location was reasonable to the centre/harbour but not 5 minutes as stated...we are fit and it took us 15 mins. Access to ironing facilities. The fridge. On site parking. The cat who came to visit.

Bathroom fan was exceptionally noisy. There was dust below the radiator in the bathroom. Satellite TV didn't work, it took 30 minutes to work out how to access streaming service, a note would have been helpful as the hosts were aware it was broken. The safe was closed therefore unusable. The message to contact hosts was exclusively via booking.com message app (2 hour response time) except "IN EMERGENCY" ...while we appreciate they were trying to offer privacy, this felt unwelcoming, all other hosts have given us access to their help without impeding on our privacy. The broken TV wasn't an emergency, but still a hindrance to our enjoyment. Only 1 tea bag and no milk in room. There was no facility to wash used dishes. There were used toiletries from other guests in the drawer and rollers with hair attached. All this is unlike any other experience we've had in all of Ireland in our 2 week stay.

My parents have been here for a few stays and always enjoy theirstay. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for them too, easy for walks or just to enjoy the weather and sit and watch the world go by.

Hosts were lovely, the room was surprisingly big, felt like a home from home, and the breakfast was delicious. Had no problems parking.

Breakfast was poor selection for cooked - sausage,bacon ,scrambled egg , baked beans bacon dried out not edible There was none of the usual offerings for cooked breakfast- mushrooms, hash browns, black pudding, fried or poached eggs, tomatoes. Croissants stale Bread for toast very nice
