The bed was comfortable and clean. The towels were clean and plentiful. There was a fridge with two small bottles of water which I appreciated, and tea/coffee making supplies with a kettle. The young man from the restaurant kindly carried my bag upstairs for me.

I was very unhappy that the guest entrance door to the building was not lockable. This made me feel very unsafe, as anyone could walk in and lurk on the enclosed and curving stairway. In my view, this is an unacceptable lack of attention to the security of guests. I was disappointed by the unclean tap in the bathroom and the lack of a plug in the sink. I had not realised when booking that there would be no breakfast provided, nor a lift to access the rooms. These rooms are not accessible to anyone with mobility issues or health conditions affecting ability to climb a lot of stairs.

Provisions left by the host were a really nice touch, and they were more than welcoming. Bathroom is also very nice. We enjoyed the location, being close to a supermarket and the town center. Beautifully furnished.

Towels, linen, toiler paper and hear dryer provided. Location was good although there was no beachfront view from the windows as stated.

Toilet and bath in need of upgrade, especially toilet seat and moldy shower do not look welcoming. There was very basic kitchen equipment and not enough tea spoons for all of us. No bathroom essentials. No hooks to hang coats or bags. A part of the nearest beach site was under construction so no access was provided and we could not use and enjoy the beach.

had trouble with the shower and with the tv in my room (#2) - no signal on tv and hot water in shower was temperamental. didnt mention it to the staff (it was at the end of my stay) but im sure a move of room wouldnt have been a problem if i had.

On arrival the front door was boarded up we had to enter via an alleyway. There was an unpleasant smell. I was staying with my teenage children. We were on separate floors. The host was very assertive, which soon turned to very aggressive. Both the children and myself felt very uncomfortable and intimidated. He immediately took £20 cash deposit. We didn’t feel comfortable staying and asked for the cash deposit back saying we didn’t want stay. The host refused to give it to us. He then phoned someone else who was also aggressive in his speaking manner. After asking for the key deposit back and being refused numerous times we just walked out. I then received phone calls from the ‘host’ with him telling me I wouldn’t get my money back. Which I haven’t. I have complained to booking.com about the experience and sub standard conditions and am awaiting a response The whole experience left all 3 of us very shaken. In a new city with nowhere else to stay. I would not recommend anyone using this property.
