  The hotel was tired and in need of a good update, room wasn't what I'd expect when paying this kind of money, very basic and in need of a refresh, furniture was basic and knocked around, so generally not to a good standard. Breakfast had good choice and was good quality!

  Perfect location to break our journey north to Skye. Tastefully refurbished vicarage. Comfortable, peaceful and with a lovely welcome from Jo. Ate at 'Just Be' in the evening followed by first class breakfast in the morning. Thank you Jo.

  We were welcomed straight from the start they could not have been more accommodating for us. They let us check in early and even give us a free drink before we went out. If I was visiting durham again I would deffiently stop here.

  Don't be mislead by the appearance the old building is a bit tired on the outside but the rooms were lovely bright and clean. The owners are a lovely welcoming couple with plenty of local knowledge.
