I have stayed here regularly for work. Location is good, the prices are far more reasonable than anything in the area, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Quiet location even with houses either side and opposite. Fully equipped for breakfast etc. TV and comfortable chairs. Parking on owners driveway on request.

We left after finding alternative accommodation! This turned out to be a scam.

We booked with the advert specifying an apartment with private bathroom, and facilities for the 17th to the 19th of May 2024. Once we turned up it was a shop front with no sign, a lady greated us and took us in through the front of the shop to what I can only describe as hell. The downstairs consisted of an empty room which looked a bit like a building site, the kitchen was like the remains of a commercial kitchen, no cooker and was filthy. The lady then informed us we would be best shutting the shop shutters on a night so it would be safer - not something you expect to hear. Once upstairs we were then informed that 2 chefs lived there and that they had been informed to use the downstairs 'bathroom' which was just a toilet. Upon further inspection the bathroom was filthy with pubic hairs and fat secretion in the shower. Once in the room itself I went to open the window to find someone on a ladder staring through it at us!! Turns out they were putting up a sign 'soy noodles' not bee hive as advertised. We then spent the next 3 hours locating some other accommodation and trying to get hold of booking.com, once we had informed booking.com they said they would get in touch with the owner and get back to us within 24 hours, we're nearly 48 hours after that conversation. The following morning the owner text me asking where the shutter fob was of which I told her it had been returned into the outside postbox as per her request with the other keys. She then began accusing us of not returning it informing us it would cost £360 - maybe she does this to everyone? Then the owner went on to say 'what sort of people are you'. We have been scammed by this property owner by falsely advertising her 'apartment' which is a shop. This was suppose to be for our 5th anniversary and our 1st weekend away without our little one in 4 years. Instead it was full of stress, tears and devastation as we returning home the following day 18th May 2024!

The restaurant closes at 4pm for food and 6pm for drinks, if you're visiting then bear this in mind as, like us, you may find yourself having to eat a packaged sandwich from the on site shop. The shared kitchen was absolutely filthy with dirty dishes everywhere, and food stuffs all over the work tops. I spent a good while cleaning it before I could use the facilities
