Beautifully presented property that benefits from a great location on a lively street in Hove. The street is a pedestrian zone during the day and has a lively atmosphere with almost every possible shop and amenity you might need. There are supermarkets nearby and eateries that are pretty reasonably priced. It quietens down at night so we weren’t disturbed. The flat was really nice and looked exactly like the photos.There were lots of individual touches that added to the welcome. We also booked parking. This was a couple of minutes walk away. We took wheeled suitcases so it wasn’t an issue and we were relieved to know we didn’t have to mess around trying to find street parking.

We struggled with the electronic door lock as we didn’t realise that you had to input a # after your individual code number, but we worked it out. The beds are very firm. If you like that kind of thing you’ll be fine. We struggle, so did take a mattress topper. Not an option for everyone though.

I had a very pleasant visit to a hotel in a lovely setting, while still being handy for the M6. Strangely enough I had previously stayed at the hotel some 30 years ago when working in Crewe, so it was a nice tip down memory lane.

Key was missing from keysafe, which was eventually sorted, and we never received a reply to our two texts because TV not working. We spent two nights with no internet or TV which was not a deal breaker but was disappointing. Stairs were a bit hazardous at top if taking a midnight trip to bathroom, it would have been easy to put a foot wrong and fall down stairs. Decor was basic but needs some tlc to keep it in top condition, eg tiles in bathroom missing grout. Washing machine needs a service, the dryer function has no end so clothes constantly heated. All in all a great place to stay, but one or two aspects that need to be addressed.
