The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Highly recommended - we had dinner and breakfast, and they were both amazing. The accomodation is very comfortable, and the staff very nice. The location is easy to get to, even by public transport (there is a bus stop with the same name as the hotel right in front of it). You can take a regular bus to/from Edinburgh, which is pretty cheap.

Comfortable bed, great location for airport, lovely shower with taps not under shower head (hate getting cold water on my head when you turn on shower). Very friendly staff who even gave us some chocolates when learning it was my husbands 50th birthday

Very basic breakfast served from 4. Would have liked some croissants or something.

Breakfast was excellent, a good range of options and great to be able to specify a "lighter than full" option. We had one dinner and this was good quality and value.

The only significant downside was that WiFi was not available in the annex where we stayed - despite the website saying it was available in all rooms (apparently this only applied to rooms in the main building)

Room comfy, very good breakfast buffet, with lots of options. The entrance is a little tricky to find, but the door man on the attached Millennium hotel was very helpful.

The bathroom was clean except for the bath, which needed a bit of a scrub. The toiletries were attached to the wall which made them harder to use.

Location and very clean, owner and staff couldn’t do enough for use, will definitely be staying again, lot better than a hotel

Affordable, close to the city center, good facilities

Nothing

The restaurant food and staff were very good.

The receptionist was very unhelpful. We received an email from Hellidon Lakes stating that our rooms would be adjacent but the receptionist denied that an email was sent from them and blamed Booking.com. The rooms were dirty and outdated. In both suites furniture was falling to bits. There were no robes water or phones working, the receptionist said that the hotel had made a decision to stop putting robes and water in suites. Also the receptionist said as the phones weren’t working it was up to us to find the hotel number on line and phone them if we needed to contact them. Paid an extra £20 per person to use spa the receptionist was happy to take our money but didn’t have the decency to tell us that most of the facilities were out of order, only the swimming pool and stream room were working, no offer was made to refund us the £20 or part of it. Lifts weren’t working, it was more a case of finding something that was working. We would not return and would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
