The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Room had everything that you would expect and a bit of a view. Bathroom had a opening window. Breakfast was good with decent cooked and continental choices. Friendly staff. Hotel quite convenient for Rye town - just a 5 minute walk over the river bridge. Availability of parking was a big plus. Not sure where you could park if staying in the centre of Rye as it is a very old town with narrow streets.

Bed came with a memory foam mattress which we struggled to adapt to on our 2 night stay. This is obviously a very personal thing so just an observation. The bed also had a terrible squeak when you sat on it and the frame needed tightening up where the headboard joins it. It was okay when we laid down to sleep so we didn't report this until we checked out - the receptionist thanked us for reporting it. The restaurant is currently closed in the evenings (April/May). Not great on a Sunday night as there is not much open in town either. We were quite lucky to find a nice place to eat (Webbe's Fish Cafe) which we can recommend.

It’s clean, tidy and cosy. The apartment close to the city centre, therefore it’s very handy and easy to get things if needed. Though it’s close to the city centre, it’s also quiet.

The floor covered by a fitted carpet was uneven. The stairs were too step. The room was quite small. Anyway it was close to the tube station.

Most of it was very clean, good location far enough away from the amusement park so not too noisy , right next to the children’s play area.

Very tired , always concerns me when no mattress protector . The double bed was very uncomfortable with a sagging mattress which was soiled . The bed settee also had a very worn mattress .

Beautiful hotel with modern facilities. Good size bedrooms. Staff were really lovely, attentive and generally fantastic.

Great location, with lots of doorstep walking. Very friendly and responsive host. Well appointed accommodation.

The bed was very soft, but this is not a criticism, purely subjective, as we like a hard mattress which others would not.

Only minor thing - difficult to get shower temperature right... minutest turn of tap changed it from boiling hot to freezing cold!

Convenient for city centre.

Booked and paid through booking.com; then 3 days before arrival received a demand for additional information and additional terms and conditions to finalise the booking. Place had some renovations but other bits were tired and in need of TLC. "Fully equipped kitchen" had some good things but had chipped and cracked plates and bowls, no frying pan or oven tray/dish, one tiny saucepan with mismatched lid, broken colander. The apartment is in a restricted parking area which doesn't allow parking between 09:00 & 10:00 and 14:00 & 15:00. This means you have to be up each day to move your car before 0900 and you can't go out for the day and leave your car parked outside. What's the point of a checkout at 10:00 when you can't park between 09:00&10:00?
