  Stayed here overnight as we were attending a family wedding nearby. Booked 3 rooms for ourselves & family. All rooms were lovely, everything you could need for an overnight stay including tea/coffee making facilities, large tv, bottled water, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel etc. Rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a huge comfortable double bed. The bar was nice, good selection of draught beers and lovely friendly staff. Good-value parking in car park directly behind the pub. Great breakfast at the lovely Whispers cafe nearby. Highly recommend, hope to visit again one day.

  Excellent location on the banks of Lake Windermere with loving views from the dining room and lounge areas. Close to a good selection of bars and cafes and walking distance to the jetty for boat trips.

  Hotel is looking very tired and dated. Car park requires use of a key fob which you don’t keep for the duration of your stay but have to hand back.

  Had lovely views and animals outside, staff friendly and restaurant was nice food.

  The shower was extremely powerful and soaked me while I tried to put it on warm up. Was hard to gain control of. The bed was slightly uncomfortable. The restaurant menu only had loaded fries / burgers / sides nothing else not much to choose from. Had to keep curtains closed during visit as I had no blinds and window looked out onto driveway into hotel. Not very private could do with a set of blinds.
