Very beautiful decor and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Bar was nice and brasserie with a lovely selection for breakfast. Staff were very polite but I noticed very busy and seemed short staffed. Credit too the young man on the bar who made amazing cocktails for us. Overall a lovely hotel.

The staff team, although very busy with other customers were quick to book me in and sort out breakfast times, dinner order and safety protocol. Couldn't really fault anything , a well managed hotel with a country village welcome. Breakfast was superb too.

The room had everything I needed when I finally managed to find it. There was a problem with towels which was resolved quickly.

Cost of parking - parking should be included, or at least a discounted price for hotel guests. We stay in this hotel due to convenience off the motorway, but it is now more cost effective to get the train, so likely to look at hotels more central. Parking cost us over £60 for just 2 nights!

The offer is misleading - rooms are located in Bitterne Park Hotel and not, as the offer suggests, in a separate building. There were not enough parking spaces - we had to use a public parking lot. We had to leave the room after checking in because it was too hot to stay there. The water in the shower was incredibly hot so taking a shower was barely possible. The door lock was loose and could be easily forced from the outside. We had only 1 mug for 2 people. TV was not working as we couldn't connect it to the internet. On Easter night, there was a party in the bar on the ground floor until 4 a.m. and we couldn't sleep at all. We reported this issue but it was not resolved at all. We called the number available on the reservation, but the lady who answered was not very helpful (she seemed drunk). After several calls, the bar owner came to our room and rudely explained that this was normal and we shouldn't complain. Our further contacts (the next day) remained unanswered. As a results we had to check-out 1 day earlier without any compensation.

AWFUL room ... did not look like any one of the photos on the website.. walking NDW and got a last minute booking through booking.com .. the room was twin attic room .. looked like servants old room .. sealant in bathroom coming off and decor really tired ... bed not comfortable... we were told only Porter on duty so didn't say anything that night (too tired after long walk) .. next morning said couldn't do anything as manager not there .. staff agreed that the room was awful ... couldn't do anything apparently as booked through booking.com... DO NOT recommend
