Tiny room no where to sit down. Wooden edge of bed uncomfortable to sit on.Booked for a meal in the restaurant 7.30 not late They run out of cauliflower cheese had to wait for the oven to bake then put on the table cauliflower and cheese sauce never seen a oven. If you are a meat eater minute portion and carrot raw. Bad decision to stay and eat. Not forgetting the room next door They were arguing for 2 nights. Fruit juice and biscuits on day one nothing on day two. They will probably claim its a welcome pack so book two separate nights.

It was clean, well looked after. Bedroom was as expected. The hotel had a nice bar area to chill in but we didn’t try the restaurant food. I like the location not too far from a nice river walk.

Beds where made of of 2 singles zipped together which makes for an uncomfortable join in the middle of the bed and sleepless night.

Very helpful staff, mostly based in the adjacent restaurant. Large, comfortable bed and plenty of space in the room. Wet room style bathroom made showering easy and safe. Food was excellent.

It was a particularly cold night and the room took a while to warm up, even with the heating turned up. No extra blankets. There was a fault with the emergency alarm, which went off when I switched off the bedside lamp. Staff came over each time to check I was OK, to my confusion until I realised what had triggered the alarm.

Loved the location, great Chinese takeout/ restaurant 10 minutes walk away, Ammon Vally River walk/ cycle route is fantastic, a well situated lodge for exploring this part of Wales,

Hotel room was roasting when we arrived and we didn’t know how to turn all the heaters down. There was only one window that we could open which didn’t make much difference. The other 2 large windows didn’t open. We arrived very late at night so I didn’t know if anyone would be able to help us at reception and children were so tired I didn’t want to leave them alone.
