A great place on the outskirts of Lynmouth and Lynton. We had the twin room, which is a twin double. The room was clean, spacious with adequate storage, including a dressing table, excellent quality condiments, great bedding with a view towards lynmouth and lynton. The bathroom has everything you'll need, and is clean and appears recently renovated. Great choice of drinks at the bar, and catered well to dogs. The breakfast and evening meal of which we ate on both day and nights were excellent quality. The soda bread with garlic and rosemary butter is a must if you love garlic. Hake was tasty as was the burger. The staff were great, every member we came across. We will definitely be back.

The staff were very helpful from our arrival and until we left. As we had to book out in the morning and our cruise was not until the late afternoon, they kept our luggage for us to pick up later. We also found that we had a free upgrade to our room on our arrival, with sea views. The breakfast was good and the restaurant was clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again the next time we go to Southampton.

It is all about location. Between te city centre and the Quayside this must be the perfect location in the city, Nice old building too. Breakfast is freshly made and good quality. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, small desk and a lounge chair.

There was quite a noice from outside. Probably a airco unit. The bathroom is spacious, but personally i do not like shower fitted in the bath. In this case the showerhead was fixed to the wall which made standing under it almost impossible

Finding 4 dog hairs in the room and a smell of dogs on the quilt cover, when I asked for the quilt cover to be changed. I was told no dogs have ever stayed.and an apology was given quilt cover changed was told i was welcome to leave if i wished. So could not relax thinking i was going to be thrown out. Several reviews in the guest book in the room and reviews on line mentioned about staying with dogs in that room so that made it worse. So if you're staying with a dog it's a lovely room. If you have a dog allergy or a good sense of smell avoid. . See pictures
